In today’s global, modern world, which revolves around technology, information, individuation and materialism, an increasing number of us have become disconnected from nature, from the stars, from community, from connection to source and ultimately from the core human spiritual experience. As so many people become disillusioned with the unsatisfying culture of the modern world, they find themselves looking back, into our ancient past, for answers to the deeper questions about life’s true meaning. Sometimes the things that we learn and experience may not make logical sense, viewed through the lens of materialism, however we may feel the potency of their truth. 

Science tells us that only 0.0035 percent of the electromagnetic spectrum is visible light, so almost all of the energy that surrounds us we do not see. We are told that the Universe is only composed of 5% physical matter, the rest is composed of the mysterious dark matter and dark energy. Quantum physics offers us a whole new world of hidden forces, acting in ways we do not yet understand.

Historically, the worlds of mythology, religion and spirituality have been at odds with science, however can we now look back at human civilisation with the understanding of new ideas and see areas of common ground and exciting new perspectives on mystical and esoteric traditions?
